Biography and academic profile
Dr. Biswajeet Sethi is currently serving as an Assistant Professor–II and Faculty-in-Charge of Website and Social Media Management in the School of Computer Engineering at KIIT Deemed to be University. He is also a member of the Tutor Mentor Committee, contributing to student mentoring and academic support. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, with his research focused on performance optimization in cloud and serverless computing environments. His primary research interests include Cloud Computing and Data Analytics, with a sustained secondary interest in Machine Learning. Dr. Sethi brings over three years of industry experience with Infosys Ltd., as a Senior Systems Engineer (SSE) and was recognized as a GBFS-certified Star Infosyon. During his doctoral tenure at IIT Kharagpur, he served as an NPTEL Teaching Assistant for the Cloud Computing course for six consecutive sessions and actively mentored NPTEL interns. His commitment to teaching and student engagement has been recognized through several accolades. He received the “Faculty with Best Student Relation” award and a Letter of Appreciation for being among the top five faculty members with the best student feedback during his previous academic tenure. His academic and professional interests span cloud and serverless computing, data analytics, machine learning, and technology-enabled education, with a continued focus on teaching, research, and student mentorship.
