Biography and academic profile

Dr. Chittaranjan Pradhan received the bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering discipline. Currently, he is an Associate Professor with the School of Computer Science & Engineering, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He has a total of 19 years of academic teaching experience with more than 130 publications in reputed and peer-reviewed journals, edited books, and conferences of national and international repute. He has published a few books published by publishers, such as Elsevier, IGI Global, and Springer. He also contributed to the conference organizing committees and journal/conference technical reviewer committees of many conferences and journals. His research interests include information security, image processing, deep learning, machine learning, and multimedia systems. He is also a member of various national and international professional societies in the field of engineering and research, such as IET, IACSIT, CSI, ISCA, IAENG, and ISTE. He received many awards to his credits, such as the Best Staff Award from KIIT Deemed to be University, in 2025, the Best Teacher Award from AIMERs Hyderabad, in 2024, the Best Teacher Award from UILA, New Delhi, in 2022, the Teaching Excellence Awards from GIEA, Kolkata, in 2021, and the Amity Excellence Award for Best Faculty in the area of Information Security and Data Analytics from Amity University, Noida,in 2020.
