Dr. Satyananda Champati Rai is currently working as an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar. He completed his M. Tech. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in 2001, and 2012, respectively. He has more than 22 years of teaching and research experience. He has published more than 40 research articles in reputed Journals and Conferences. He has written two books and four book chapters. He is a member of ACM, IEEE and a life member of the Orissa Information Technology Society (OITS), ISTE, and the Indian Association for Medical Informatics (IAMI). He has served in several positions in different international conferences - NCEPES-2010, NCICT-2011, WICT-2012, IACT-2013, ICIT-2014, PIC-2016, ICMI-2016, PIC-2017, ICIT-2017, OCIT-2021, and CCPIS-2023. He has supervised 4 Ph.D. scholars, one has submitted the thesis, and three are pursuing; 28 Masters' Dissertations in different areas of - Mobile Ad hoc Networks, Wireless Sensor Networks, and Cloud Computing. His research interests include the application of AI/ML in IoT for general people.
