Biography and academic profile
Dr. Mohit Ranjan Panda received his Ph.D. in Robotics and Soft Computing in 2019. He earned his B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering in 2001 and 2009, respectively. He is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Engineering at KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.
Dr. Panda has more than 23 years of teaching experience and over 10 years of research experience in robotics and intelligent systems. His research interests include Robotics, Mobile Robot Path Planning, Soft Computing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Intelligent Autonomous Systems. His doctoral research focused on optimal path planning for mobile robots, collision avoidance in static and dynamic environments, and multi-robot navigation.
He has published numerous research papers in reputed SCI and Scopus-indexed journals and international conferences. He actively serves as a reviewer for leading international publishers, including IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, and Inderscience. He has been granted 12 patents and has authored a book on Multi-Robot Path Planning.
Dr. Panda has successfully organized several international conferences, workshops, faculty development programmes (FDPs), and academic events at various universities. In addition to his academic and research responsibilities, he is currently entrusted with the additional responsibility of Associate Dean, IQAC, at the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University.
His current research focuses on robotics, machine learning, intelligent optimization techniques, autonomous systems, and computer vision, with an emphasis on developing efficient and intelligent solutions for real-world engineering applications.
