Dr.Hitesh Mohapatra is an Associate Professor at the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, in Odisha, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, with a focus on designing fault-tolerant models for wireless sensor networks integrated with smart city applications. His academic journey includes a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Biju Patnaik University of Technology and a Master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Odisha University of Technology and Research.

Dr. Mohapatra has over 15 years of experience in both academia and industry, contributing significantly to research in areas such as IoT, wireless sensor networks, fault tolerance, and smart city applications. His research has been published in various high-impact journals and conferences, with citations noted in the thousands. He has authored and co-authored over 50 research articles indexed by SCI and Scopus databases, along with several books on topics including software engineering, IoT in smart cities, and programming.

He has also contributed to the academic community by serving in roles such as session chair, technical chair, and keynote speaker at numerous international and national conferences. His work extends into practical applications, including innovative solutions for smart agriculture, smart tourism, and smart water management systems. Additionally, Dr. Mohapatra is involved in editorial activities and has been a guest editor for special issues on topics like fault-tolerant approaches for IoT integrated smart cities.
