Dr Himadri Sekhar Roy is an Assistant Professor (II) in the School of Computer Engineering at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), a Deemed-to-be University in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He earned his PhD in Computer Science & Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, in 2025, with a focus on Big Data storage and retrieval in distributed environments. His research interests include Big Data, Distributed Storage and Processing, Cloud Computing, High-Speed Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANETs), IoT, and Open-Source Hardware. He has published multiple journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters. Dr Roy received fellowships from DRDO, Govt. of India, for a project on high-speed MANET development, and from UGC under the UPE Phase-II scheme for work on Big Data management in cloud environments. He holds an M.E. from Jadavpur University (2015) and a B.Tech from MAKAUT (2009). With extensive industry experience from 2009, he has worked in progressive web development, mobile apps, cloud platforms (AWS), microservices, e-commerce systems, and open-source technologies using PHP, Dot Net, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, Node.js, AngularJS, etc.
