Dayal Kumar Behera
Assistant Professor
Dr Dayal Kumar Behera, is working as an Asst. Professor (II) in the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He is an enthusiastic, proactive faculty member and researcher with more than fifteen years of experience teaching courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Supervised many IEDC-funded projects, MTech theses, and BTech projects. He has two patents and published more than 20 research papers in various reputed, peer-reviewed refereed journals and international conferences. He earned a Ph.D. from KIIT University and an M.Tech. from Odisha University of Technology and Research (formerly the College of Engineering and Technology). He obtained a B.E. degree with honours in Information Technology from the National Institute of Science and Technology, Berhampur, Odisha. He coached his team to victory at the 2017 Cisco IoT Hackathon. Mentored the "Trithon 2019" programming hackathon, and his team finished second. His research interest includes Recommender System, Time Series Analysis, Remote Sensing, Internet of Things, and Computer Vision. He is a lifetime member of the ISTE, OITS and IAENG societies.

Certified Trainer for the role of "Telecom Terminal Equipment Application Developer (Android) QP No: TEL/Q2300" by TSSC, India. SUN Certified JAVA Programmer for the JAVA 2 Platform 1.5 (SCJP 5.0) candidate ID-SR3086566. Worked as a faculty coordinator and took classes at the Data Science Club, Trident Academy of Technology, Bhubaneswar. Completed CISCO Instructor Training and taught Introduction to IoT, Essentials of Python Programming, NDG Linux Essentials Courses at the CISCO Networking Support Center. Participated in CISCO IoT Hackathon 2017 as a Mentor and the team grabbed the winner position. Participated in the Programming Hackathon "Trithon 2019" as a mentor and the team earned runner-up position.
