Biography and academic profile
Dr. Sougatamoy Biswas received his B.Tech. from Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, Kolkata, and M.Tech. from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna, India. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Rourkela, India, in 2026. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar, India. During his doctoral research, he contributed to a SERB-sponsored research project at NIT Rourkela. His research interests include human–robot interaction, assistive robotics, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. He has authored several research papers published in reputed international journals and conference proceedings.
