Dr. Swagat Ranjan Sahoo is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (II) in the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, Odisha. He completed his Ph.D. from IIT Guwahati in 2025, M.Tech from NIT Allahabad in 2012, and B.Tech from BPUT, Odisha in 2010. He has over six years of teaching experience and three years of industry experience.

His favourite teaching subjects include Cloud Computing, Computer Networks, Operating Systems, Web Technology, and Real-Time Systems. His research interests span Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs), Cloud Computing, and Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Sahoo has published more than 10 research papers in reputed national and international conferences and journals. He actively guides undergraduate and postgraduate students in academic and research projects. He has one published patent and three patents filed with the Indian Patent Office.

He has taken on several leadership roles as part of organizing committees for international conferences, workshops, and FDPs. He has also served as a TPC member and Session Chair for various international conferences, and worked as a reviewer for international journals and conferences. He has qualified GATE twice and also cleared the NIC recruitment test.
